Ok so here it I thought this would be an easy way to keep everyone up to speed with whats going on! We have had many things happening this year. The move being the biggest! Matt got his retirement letter approved (YAY for him and us) the Coast guard has been great to us and we have many great times and met many great friends but it is time for us to plant our feet somewhere. This somewhere happens to be a beautiful town of Naselle, Wa. While we were stationed in Astoria,Or we found this town, found some property and built a house. We fell in love with the community and schools were excellent! Unfortunately we knew we had one more move under our belts! This meant finding renters, and that we did. How great an experience this was. The couple we had rent our house was just awesome! They took care of it like it was their own and we really appreciated it! In the mean time we were lucky enough to rent a house here in Alaska with a spectacular view! As my Father in law pointed out to me just recently we have always been lucky enough to have a great view in most the places we have lived, and almost every time we were near the water in one way shape or form!
So this brings us to now.... the house we are currently living in is for sale and the owner wants to remodel. Well you know that means .....Move out of the house and for those of who know what Sitka is like well come summertime rentals can be scarce. So we toyed around with the idea of me moving home with the kids, getting a job there and waiting for retirement! At this point we had no idea our renters were seriously looking to buy and I was very unhappy in the job I was in so It was a thought! On top of all this we were very unhappy with the schools. So then one day I get a call from the renters and YAY for them they found a house and informed us they are moving out by the end of July! Well this happen to be the same time we needed to be out of our house in Alaska, So What to Do!!!!! After thinking it through extensively we decided the kids and my self would move back to the house in Washington. This is where the move actually begins. So because of the timing we have to do the move ourselves for once in 20 years! I will say that having the luxury of someone coming in and completely packing all your stuff has spoiled me! None the less it hasn't been all that terrible! we are almost all packed and now just need to load in the truck! More to come I will try to keep this uupdated!!!
